CLEVELAND, OH -- Wooster senior midfielder Elliot Miller (Mentor, OH/Mentor) and a pair of Denison seniors, midfielder Kameron Kist (New Albany, OH/New Albany) and defender Henri Heyes (New Albany, OH/New Albany), were named the Players of the Year to highlight the 2025 All-North Coast Athletic Conference men’s soccer selections.
Miller collects his fourth all-conference certificate and first nod to the first team after earning third-team honors in both 2024 and 2022 and a second-team selection in 2023. He earns Wooster its eighth Offensive Player of the Year award, first since Brian Conaway was named in 2004. In 19 games, the midfielder has tallied 22 points to rank third in the league, tying for both the second-most assists (6) and the fourth-most goals (8), four of which were game-winners to tie for the most in the NCAC. In eight conference matchups, the senior recorded three goals and one assist, including a league-high two game-winners, for seven total points.
Kist, who earned his third-consecutive All-NCAC first-team selection, captures his second-straight Midfielder of the Year award. In 19 games, the midfielder has posted a league-high 55 shots, 27 shots on goal, and 24 points, to go along with nine goals and six assists. In eight regular-season conference matchups, Kist tallied a league-high five goals to go along with two assists for an NCAC-best 12 points. After earning an at-large bid into the NCAA postseason, Denison will be making its third-straight Division III playoff appearance, traveling to Dickinson in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, to face Washington & Lee in the first round on Saturday, November 15, at 3:30 p.m.
Heyes, who was named the 2025 Defensive Player of the Year, claims his second-straight first-team all-conference selection after third-team recognition in both 2023 and 2022. He becomes Denison’s second player to claim the award and first since David Folt in 2006. In eight conference matchups, the senior anchored a backline that allowed just five goals in 720:00 minutes of action to tie for the league’s lowest goals-against-average (0.63), while ranking second in shutouts (3). Through 19 games, Denison has allowed a conference-low 12 goals (0.63 GAA) and posted 11 shutouts. Heyes has also contributed offensively, scoring five goals so far this season.
Wittenberg sophomore Asher Donahue (Muncie, IN/Burris Laboratory School), DePauw junior Braden Murphey (South Bend, IN/Penn) and Ohio Wesleyan senior Gabe O’Reilly (Westerville, OH/Columbus St. Charles) were named All-NCAC first team forwards, each making all-conference debuts this season.
Joining Kist and Miller as a first-team midfielder was John Carroll senior Andrew Massucci (Pittsburgh, PA/Peters Township), securing his first All-NCAC certificate.
Kenyon first-year Jack Commandeur (Cincinnati, OH/Western Reserve Academy), DePauw sophomore Harrison Engel (St. Louis, MO/MICDS) and Denison senior Zarius Eusebe (Wilton, CT/Wilton) join Heyes as first-team defenders. Eusebe elevates to the top team after a second-team selection in 2024, Engel advances to the top squad after a third-team nod last season, while Commandeur collects his first All-NCAC accolade along with DePauw junior goalkeeper Sam Ortner (Wauwatosa, WI/Wauwatosa East).
In addition to earning first-team all-conference honors, Kenyon’s Commandeur was named the 2025 NCAC Newcomer of the Year as the league’s top player in their first year of collegiate competition. The rookie claims the Owls’ eighth overall and second-consecutive Newcomer of the Year award after sophomore teammate Justin Buchwalter (Houston, TX/Shattuck-St.Mary’s School) was selected last season. In 18 games, nine of which he started, Commandeur recorded 13 points, as he netted a team-high six goals to go along with one assist. In conference play, he scored three goals to tie for the fourth-most in the league, while his seven points tie him for fifth overall.
Wooster claimed the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year honors, the fourth coaching award in program history. The Fighting Scots are led by Head Coach Andy Zidron and Assistant Coach Jack Giloth. In conference play, Wooster recorded 24 points on 10 goals and four assists, while holding league opponents to 10 goals for the fourth-best scoring margin (0.00). The squad lost only one league matchup this season, posting a 3-1-4 record and earning a spot in the NCAC tournament for the first time in 21 years. In 19 games, the Wooster offense recorded the third-most points (100), goals (37) and assists (26) in the league. The Scots ended the 2025 season with an 11-2-6 record, marking the program’s most wins since 2004 and the first double-digit-win total since 2006.
