INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Top-seeded Wittenberg (20-7) captured its league-leading 28th overall North Coast Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament title with a 3-0 win over second-seeded John Carroll (21-9) in the tourney championship final in Springfield, Ohio on Saturday, November 15. As NCAC tournament champions, the Tigers earned the NCAC's automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament.
Wittenberg will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the regional tournament, hosted by Carnegie Mellon University. The eight-team regional will be played Nov. 20-22. The Tigers will open the three-day regional tournament against the Otterbein Cardinals (24-5), who earned the Ohio Athletic Conference's automatic bid.
Thursday's first-round match will be the 14th meeting all-time between the two teams; The Tigers are 9-4 against the Cardinals. The winner of the Wittenberg/Otterbein first-round contest will move on to face the winner of Wisconsin Eau Claire (27-4) versus St. Mary's (MD) (17-14) on Friday in the second round. The two other first-round matchups in Pittsburgh will feature host Carnegie Mellon (25-8) versus Stevens (22-9) and Hope (22-6) versus Southern Virginia (23-8).
Wittenberg, making its 29th overall NCAA tournament appearance, holds a 50-27 record (.649) on the national stage. Otterbein will be making its sixth-straight and 11th overall national appearance and holds a 5-10 record (.333) in NCAA postseason play.

The senior has also tallied 230 digs (2.47/set), 32 blocks (0.34/set), 35 service aces (0.38/set) and 25 assists (0.27/set). O'Malley, a middle blocker, has recorded 271 kills (2.91/set), hitting at a .285 clip and posting 261 total points. The sophomore has also tallied a team-high 89 blocks (0.90/set) with 19 solos and 70 assisted blocks. Colahan, a right side, owns 203 kills (3.03/set) with a team-high .340 hitting percentage in 67 sets and has tallied 230.5 points and 46 blocks (0.69/set) for the Tigers. Sophomore
Mary Sulfridge (South Charleston, OH/Southeastern) has orchestrated one of the NCAC's most balanced and efficient offenses, producing a team-high 907 assists (9.26/set), to go along with 216 digs (2.20/set), 62 kills (0.63/set), 24 service aces (0.24/set), and 46 blocks (0.47/set) from the setter position. Ally White (Harrison, OH/Harrison), a defensive specialist, owns a team-high 479 digs (4.84/set), and has added 79 assists (0.80/set) and 37 service aces (0.37/set). Senior
Piper Ricketts (Morrow, OH/Little Miami) leads the Tigers with 39 service aces (0.39/set), and has recorded the second-most digs with 244 (2.46/set).
