Wittenberg sophomore setter
Mary Sulfridge (South Charleston, OH / Southeastern) has been named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Honorable Mention, as announced on Wednesday, November 26. The recognition follows her selection to the AVCA All-Region 7 First Team and marks the first All-America and all-region honors of her collegiate career.
In regular-season play, Sulfridge appeared in 27 matches and 98 sets, totaling 907 assists to lead both Wittenberg and the NCAC. She added 62 kills, 24 aces, 216 digs, and 46 blocks, while averaging 10.19 assists per set in conference play. She also directed an offense that led the NCAC in hitting percentage (.283), assists per set (12.48), kills per set (14.10), and total points (18.83).
The 2025 NCAC Player of the Year, Setter of the Year, and First-Team All-NCAC honoree helped Wittenberg finish 20-7 overall and 7-0 in NCAC play, win both the conference and tournament titles, and secure a first-round NCAA Tournament victory over Otterbein (3-1).
