Baseball Player of the Week – Parker Gibbons, Kenyon
Kenyon senior outfielder Parker Gibbons (Harrison, NY/Harrison) helped the Owls bounce back from two early losses to finish their spring break trip with four-straight victories. Over the week, the senior posted a .556 batting average, collecting 15 hits in six games. He scored eight runs, hit three doubles, and drove in two RBI. In the field, Gibbons contributed 10 putouts and maintained a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
Baseball Pitcher of the Week – Parker Tomlin, Ohio Wesleyan
Ohio Wesleyan junior Parker Tomlin (Atlanta, GA/Westerville Central) delivered a dominant performance in the opener of a doubleheader against Curry on Thursday. He allowed just one hit and one unearned run over the first 6.0 innings, striking out five batters and walking four to earn his second win of the season in the 4-1 victory.
 
Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week – Will Hulsey, Kenyon
Kenyon junior Will Hulsey (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) led the Owls at the Tiger Invitational, finishing tied for 17th out of 100 golfers with a one-over-par total of 217. Hulsey opened with a 71 (-1), recording two birdies, one bogey, and pars on the remaining 15 holes. He followed that with a two-over 74 on Monday, which included two birdies and four bogeys. Hulsey’s strong performance ranked him first in par-three scoring (2.75) and fourth in pars (27). Kenyon finished tied for eighth out of 20 teams, 18 of which are ranked inside the national top 40 and six teams that are in the top 10.
 
Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week – Ella McRoberts, Denison
Denison senior Ella McRoberts (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) led the Big Red at the South Georgia Invitational, finishing tied for eighth out of 105 golfers with a two-day total of 154 (74-80). On day one, McRoberts battled rainy and cold conditions to card a solid 74 (+2). Despite a tough second round, she showed resilience by closing strong with a plus one over the final eight holes, earning a top-10 finish. Denison’s team placed sixth out of 19 teams at the invitational.
 
Men’s Lacrosse Athlete of the Week – Aaron Gardner, Hiram
Hiram senior attackman Aaron Gardner (Willoughby Hills, OH/Willoughby South) had a standout week, scoring the game-winning goal in both of the Terriers’ victories. In Hiram’s first win of the season, an 11-10 win over Anderson on Tuesday, Gardner broke a 10-10 tie with just over a minute remaining, netting the game-winner off an assist from senior long-stick midfielder Gray Perry (Silver Lake, OH/Stow-Monroe Falls). He followed that performance with another game-winning goal in a 9-8 win over Heidelberg on Saturday, scoring with 20 seconds left after receiving a pass from fellow senior attackman Ethan Mayer (Fairview Park, OH/Holy Name). Gardner finished the week with two goals and one assist against Anderson and one goal and five assists against Heidelberg, which set career highs for points in a game (6) and total points in a two-game span (9).
 
Women’s Lacrosse Athlete of the Week – Kenzie Morris, Wooster
Wooster senior midfielder Kenzie Morris (Chardon, OH/Chardon) had a great week, contributing three goals, four assists, eight draw controls, and five caused turnovers over two games. In Wednesday’s 14-8 loss to NCAA Division II Rockhurst, the senior scored twice, assisted on two goals, recorded four draw controls and caused four turnovers. Then, in Sunday’s 13-8 win at Widener, Morris contributed one goal, two assists, and five draw controls. Throughout the week, the Chardon, Ohio native reached significant career milestones, recording her 200th point against Rockhurst and her 200th draw control at Widener, becoming the first player in program history to achieve both.
 
Softball Player of the Week – Darian Kanno, Hiram
Hiram senior Darian Kanno (Mililani, HI/Mid-Pacific Institute) had a standout week at The Spring Games in Florida, helping the Terriers to a 5-3 record. Kanno hit safely in seven of eight games, including five multi-hit performances, while leading the Terriers with a .583 batting average and a .833 slugging percentage, to go along with eight runs scored, 14 hits, three doubles, one home run, and eight RBI. In Hiram’s 7-1 win over Wheaton (Mass.), Kanno had a perfect at-bat, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, one scored run, one double, and a home run. She recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with six putouts and 14 assists. Kanno’s home run pushed her career total to 13 which ranks third in program history, trailing only Jessica Bolanz (24) and Chastine Romanello (16).
 
Softball Pitcher of the Week – Darian Kanno, Hiram
Hiram senior Darian Kanno (Mililani, HI/Mid-Pacific Institute) dominated the circle at The Spring Games in Florida, pitching four complete-game victories, all without allowing an earned run. Over 28 innings, she struck out 29 batters and surrendered just 10 hits and four runs, holding opponents to a .108 batting average. Kanno also notched 10 strikeouts in her first outing against Western New England (2-1), marking her sixth career game with 10 or more strikeouts, a feat that outpaces the rest of Hiram’s program history combined. She also secured wins against Wheaton (MA) (7-1), Mount Union (3-2), and Catholic (3-0).
 
Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week – Gabe Fogle, Ohio Wesleyan
Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Gabe Fogle (Delaware, OH/Hayes) was a double winner in both of the Battling Bishops' victories this week. In a 7-0 win over King's, the sophomore teamed with junior Kobe Francis (Boca Raton, FL/Spanish River) for a 6-2 victory over John Toussaint and Patrick Pech at No. 1 doubles, and then triumphed in a thrilling tiebreaker over Pech at No. 2 singles, 6-7, 7-6, 1-0 (10-8). In OWU’s 6-1 victory over Marymount, Fogle and Francis paired up to dominate at No. 1 doubles with a 6-1 win over Emilio Escamilla and Gunek Singh and then Fogle cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Josemaria Torrecillas at No. 2 singles.
 
Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week – Anna Pastore, Oberlin
Oberlin senior Anna Pastore (Rockville, VA/The Steward School) led the Yeowomen with two clutch singles victories. Against John Carroll, Pastore secured a hard-fought 78-66, 77-64 win at No. 1 singles over Evelyn Deren, battling through two tiebreak sets. She followed that with another gritty performance against Ashland, earning a 6-4, 78-66 victory over Ana Penteado to secure Oberlin’s lone point in the match.
 
NCAC Milestones & Records (Mar. 11-16)
 
Denison, Softball – Senior catcher Annabelle Calderon (Perris, CA/Orange Vista) broke both the NCAC and Denison career home run records, bringing her total to 29 after hitting four home runs over a three-game stretch on March 7-8.
 
Hiram, Softball – Senior Angel Santellan (Lawndale, CA/Mira Costa) drove in three runs in a 12-9 loss to Otterbein this past Tuesday at The Spring Games in Florida. Her performance included an RBI single in the first inning and a two-run double in the fourth. Santellan officially surpassed 100 career RBI, reaching 101, joining Chastine Romanello (129), Jessica Bolanz (120), and Giselle Bahena (119) as the only players in program history to achieve this milestone.
 
Oberlin, Baseball – Senior third baseman Zachary Ritts (Pacific Palisades, CA/Palisades Charter) tied the NCAA Division III single-game stolen base record with seven steals in a 7-6 loss to Asbury on March 8. The record was originally set in 1986 by Doug Graner of FDU-Madison.
 
Ohio Wesleyan, Softball – Sophomore outfielder Rylea Gist (Delaware, OH/Hayes) tied the Ohio Wesleyan single-game record with four runs scored in Tuesday's game against Western New England, a mark previously achieved nine times.
