CLEVELAND, OH – The Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops claimed the 2025 NCAC Men's Lacrosse Championship Title after a perfect 8-0 run through the conference schedule.
The Battling Bishops and Denison are now tied for the league-lead with
22 NCAC Championship titles apiece, while Kenyon and Wittenberg have each earned two and Wooster has claimed one title.
As conference champions, OWU has earned the top seed in the 2025 NCAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament, which begins with semifinal matchups on Wednesday, April 30. In the semifinal round at 4:00 p.m., Ohio Wesleyan will entertain fourth-seeded Oberlin (5-3), while second-seeded Denison (7-1) welcomes third-seeded Wooster (5-3). During the regular season, the Bishops earned a 19-12 win over the Yeomen, while the Big Red claimed an 8-3 victory over the Fighting Scots.
The championship game is set for Saturday, May 3, at 1:00 p.m. at the site of the highest remaining seed to emerge from the semifinal round. The tournament winner receives the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament.
Denison leads all NCAC teams with nine tournament titles since the conference began post-season play in the 2013 season. Ohio Wesleyan has claimed the other two tourney titles.
