Denison's Marascio Named to USILA Team of the Week

Denison first-year face-off specialist Luke Marascio (Rumson, NJ/Rumson Fair Haven Regional) was named to the USILA Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week, announced Wednesday, April 2.

Marascio, this week's NCAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week, dominated at the face-off x with a perfect 100 percent faceoff percentage (31-for-31) in the Big Red's 12-11 victory over No. 16 York and 23-3 win over Hiram. The rookie went 8-for-8 against York and 23-for-23 against Hiram, to tie the NCAC's faceoff percentage record with a pair of perfect face-off performances. Marascio also tied the NCAC single-game record with 21 ground balls against Hiram. Across both games, Marascio collected 25 ground balls and added two goals.

Players earned recognition from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
