The 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Tournament is set for Thursday–Saturday, May 8-10, at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. The Big Red earned the right to host the four-team event after earning a share of their ninth NCAC championship with a 12-2 conference record. The championship is the first for Denison since 2011.
2025 co-champions DePauw (12-2) now boast a league-leading 10 conference championships, followed by the Big Red, while Allegheny owns five titles. Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg have each claimed the conference crown three times.
Denison took the tiebreaker over DePauw for the top seed in the tournament. As a result, the Big Red meet fourth-seeded Wittenberg (8-6) in the first round of the double-elimination tournament on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Second-seeded DePauw opens tournament play on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. with a showdown against third-seeded Hiram (9-5).
The double-elimination tournament continues Thursday afternoon with the winners of the day's first two games squaring off for a slot in the championship round at 3:00 p.m., while the losers of the opening-round games will meet at 5:30 p.m. in an elimination game. The winner of Thursday's elimination game will move on to face the loser of Thursday's 3:00 p.m. game on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. to determine the final slot in the championship round.
The first championship game will be played Friday at 1:30 p.m., with game seven set for Saturday, if necessary. Saturday will also serve as a rain date, if necessary.
Since the inception of the NCAC Softball Tournament in the 2001 season, DePauw has earned seven tournament titles, followed by Denison with six. Allegheny and Hiram have each collected four tournament titles, while Wittenberg has two.
