Denison’s Sundgren Named to CSC Academic All-American Second Team 7/2/2025 12:00:00 PM | By: Haiden Diemer-McKinney, Wabash '26 Share: Denison junior Eric Sundgren (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) was recognized as a 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Second Team selection, announced on Tuesday, July 1. This season, Sundgren, an applied mathematics major with a 3.79 GPA, secured ABCA/Rawlings first-team All-American honors, was tabbed the ABCA/Rawlings Region Position Player of the Year and claimed first-team All-NCAC honors for the first time in his career. The junior posted league-leading and school-record marks of 17 home runs and 81 RBI this spring, with his 17 homers ranking 10th in the nation. Sundgren also led the conference in OPS (1.184), hits (76), total bases (144), slugging percentage (.735), and tied teammate Eric Colaco (Richfield, OH/Revere) in stolen bases (31).
