Three Teams, Nine Athletes Garner USILA Academic Accolades

Nine men’s lacrosse student-athletes from five North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) institutions were named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-Americans, while three conference programs repeated as recipients of the Academic Team Award.

Four institutions had two student-athletes named to the list, with Tommy Quinson (Rye Brook, NY/Brunswick School) and Colin MacLean (Andover, MA/Andover) representing Denison, and Will Fink (Western Springs, IL/Lyons Township) and Bill Holtzer (Akron, OH/Walsh Jesuit) representing Wooster. Kenyon was represented by Rollins Heath (Montclair, NJ/Montclair Kimberley Academy) and Thomas Nelson (Minneapolis, MN/The Blake School), while Ohio Wesleyan’s Wes Silver (Newton, MA/Newton North) and Brady Hunt (Maineville, OH/Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy) also received honors. Oberlin’s Jonas Taylor-Lillquist (Montclair, NJ / Montclair) rounded out the conference’s Scholar All-American recognition.

The Scholar All-America team is made up of seniors who carry a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and they must also be an All-American, a member of the USILA North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player.

Denison, Kenyon, and Wooster were among 80 NCAA Division III men’s lacrosse programs recognized with the USILA Academic Team Award.
