Denison Tabs Three on IWLCA All-America Team

The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2025 Division III All-America teams on May 23, and the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) was highlighted by three Denison student-athletes earning national recognition. Senior attacker Anna DeVuono (Devon, PA/Conestoga) was tabbed a first-team honoree while senior defender Liz Hinton (Walpole, MA/Walpole) and junior midfielder Mary Martinson (Concord, NH/Concord) earned third-team nods.

DeVuono started 20-of-21 games during Denison’s season and NCAA tournament run, leading the Big Red with 80 goals and nine assists for a total of 89 points. The senior posted a .537 shooting percentage on 149 shots, with 113 of those on goal for a .758 on-goal conversion rate. A consistent scoring threat, DeVuono delivered three game-winning goals and added eight ground balls, 35 draw controls, and 11 caused turnovers. She concludes her Denison career with 146 goals and 163 total points.

Hinton earned a spot on the IWLCA All-America list after anchoring Denison’s defensive unit in all 21 games. The senior recorded 40 ground balls, eight draw controls, and 23 caused turnovers, routinely disrupting opposing offenses. Though her scoring was limited to one goal on two shots, her impact was felt primarily through her steady, high-level play on Denison's backline.

Martinson, the 2025 NCAC Midfielder of the Year, started every game during the 2025 season, anchoring Denison's midfield with a strong presence on both sides of the field. During her junior campaign, she collected 30 ground balls, secured 94 draw controls, and caused 14 turnovers. Offensively, Martinson finished second on the team in goals (53) and tallied seven assists for a total of 60 points.
