Men’s Basketball – Caleb Washington, DePauw
DePauw junior guard Caleb Washington (New Albany, IN/Floyd Central) delivered a clutch week as the Tigers went 2-0 with a win at Wittenberg (61-56) and an overtime victory at home against Oberlin (75-66). Washington scored 16 points in each contest, including the game-tying basket with 0.3 seconds remaining to force overtime against the Yeomen, before adding five of DePauw’s 14 points in the extra period. He also grabbed five rebounds in both games, recorded one block and one assist versus Wittenberg and dished out three assists against Oberlin. Washington finished the week shooting 50 percent from the field (10-for-20) and 92 percent from the free-throw line (11-of-12).

Women’s Basketball – Ava Ryncarz, John Carroll
John Carroll senior guard/forward Ava Ryncarz (Aurora, OH/Aurora) turned in a dominant week as the Blue Streaks earned a pair of conference victories, including a 70-65 overtime win at No. 7  Ohio Wesleyan. Ryncarz poured in 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the five-point OT win over the Battling Bishops, knocking down five three-pointers. Then in a 72-50 victory over Kenyon, the senior recorded a game-high 16 points and eight rebounds, to go along with two assists and one steal. She finished the week averaging 17.5 points and 8.5 defensive rebounds per game.

Men's Lacrosse – David Chintala, Kenyon
Kenyon senior attack David Chintala (New Albany, OH/St. Francis DeSales) powered the Owls to a season-opening 14-4 win over Transylvania on Sunday. The senior paced Kenyon’s offense with six goals on 16 shots, putting eight on frame, and added one ground ball in the win.

Men's Tennis – Will Hutchinson, DePauw
DePauw first-year Will Hutchinson (Indianapolis, IN/Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory) went 1-1 in singles action and 2-1 in doubles play as the Tigers picked up a 7-0 win over Rose-Hulman and fell to No. 5 Case Western Reserve (0-7) and No. 2 UChicago (1-6) last week. At the No. 5 flight in singles, the first-year earned the Tigers’ lone point against the Maroons with a three-set victory, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, after dropping his singles matchup against the Spartans, 6-3, 6-1. In doubles, Hutchinson teamed with fellow rookie Paul Castleman (St. Louis, MO/Webster Groves) at the No. 3 flight and posted 6-3 wins over both UChicago and Rose-Hulman, with the duo’s lone setback coming against Case Western (6-4).

Women's Tennis – Kiara Komlodi, Kenyon
Kenyon first-year Kiara Komlodi (Dunakeszi, Hungary/Csanádi Árpád Általános Iskola) opened the spring season undefeated as the Owls went 4-0 with four 7-0 sweeps over Capital, Otterbein, Ohio Wesleyan, and John Carroll. In singles play, the rookie went 4-0, collecting three wins at No. 1 against Capital (6-0, 6-1), Otterbein (6-0, 6-0), and Ohio Wesleyan (6-0, 6-2) before adding a victory at No. 2 versus John Carroll (6-1, 6-2). She also posted a 4-0 showing in doubles alongside senior Shadia Amado Aguad (Arequipa, Peru/Colegio Anglo Americano Prescott), earning wins at No. 1 against both Otterbein (6-1) and Ohio Wesleyan (6-0) and No. 2 doubles victories over Capital (6-0) and John Carroll (6-0).

Men's Sprints/Hurdles – Kory Davis, Wittenberg
Wittenberg sophomore Kory Davis (Brookville, OH/Brookville) won the 60-meter hurdles at the Marshall Jewel City Invitational, resetting the program record to 8.10 seconds. With that mark, the sophomore now ranks second in the NCAC and 10th nationally. Davis also contributed to Wittenberg’s third-place 4x400-meter relay, which finished in 3:18.18 and ranks No. 22 in Division III.

Men's Mid/Distance – Charlie Blackmer, Kenyon
Kenyon sophomore Charlie Blackmer (Libertyville, IL/Vernon Hills) rewrote the program’s indoor mile record at the Jud Logan Light Giver Invitational at Ashland University. Blackmer finished eighth in a 72-athlete field with a 4:13.95, trimming nearly five seconds off the previous standard of 4:18.84 set by Jim Boston in 2007. His time ranks second in the NCAC this season.

Men's Field – Jordon Rodman, John Carroll
John Carroll sophomore Jordon Rodman (Cleveland, OH/St. Ignatius) turned in a record-breaking triple jump at the Doug Raymond Invitational on Saturday. The sophomore posted a 14.37-meter effort to place fifth in a 19-athlete field, setting a new indoor personal best while breaking the program’s indoor record of 14.33 meters. Rodman now ranks second in the NCAC and stands 28th nationally in Division III so far this season.

Women's Sprints/Hurdles – Shelby Stall, DePauw
DePauw junior Shelby Stall (Lindenhurst, IL/Lakes) delivered a record-setting performance in the 400 meters at the Keck DIII Select. Stall crossed the line in 58.07 to outpace 30 competitors and establish a new school record.

Women's Mid/Distance – Anna Brown, Kenyon
Kenyon senior Anna Brown (South Dartmouth, MA/Concord Academy) posted a record-breaking mile at Saturday’s Jud Logan Light Giver Invitational, hosted by Ashland University. Brown clocked a 4:59.85 to place third in a 58-runner field, a time that ranks second in the NCAC and 38th in Division III this season. Her performance reset the program’s indoor mile record, surpassing the previous standard of 5:04.73 set by Natalie Plick in 2013.

Women's Field – Rebekah Case, Wittenberg
Wittenberg first-year Rebekah Case (Mansfield, OH/Lucas) set a new program record in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.65 meters at the Marshall Jewel City Invitational. The mark earned a third-place finish and currently stands as the NCAC’s top vault this season while also tying for 28th nationally.

Milestones & Records (Feb. 2-8)

Denison, Women’s Basketball - Denison earned a 57-40 win over DePauw on Wednesday to secure the program’s second regular-season sweep of the Tigers, a feat the Big Red last accomplished during the 2015-16 season.

Denison, Men’s Indoor Track & Field - Sophomore Jake McCann (Dublin, OH/Bishop Watterson) posted a personal-best time of 7.01 in the 60-meter dash at the Bob Shannon Invitational, a mark that ranks seventh in the NCAC this season and fourth in program history.

Denison, Women’s Indoor Track & Field - First-year Marisa Bianchi (Henrietta, NY/Rush Henrietta) leaped to a personal best to win the triple jump at the Bob Shannon Invitational, recording a 10.36-meter mark. The jump ranks eighth in the NCAC this season and moved Bianchi into sixth all-time in Denison program history.

DePauw, Women’s Basketball - Senior guard Lily Huntzinger (Wheaton, IL/Wheaton-Warrenville South) scored a season-high 15 points in Saturday’s Senior Day win over Oberlin (69-42), shooting 6-of-8 from the field and 3-of-4 from three-point range.

DePauw, Men’s Indoor Track & Field - Sophomore Lane Zander (Lake Village, IN/Kankakee Valley) set a new program record in the 200-meter dash at the Keck DIII Select, winning the event in 22.23.

DePauw, Women’s Indoor Track & Field - Senior Lucy Stokes (St. Louis, MO/Whitfield School) won the weight throw at the Keck DIII Select with a 14.08-meter mark to set a new school record.

John Carroll, Men’s Indoor Track & Field - Senior Max Grillo (Canton, OH/Canton Central Catholic) recorded a new indoor personal best in the 800-meter run at the Doug Raymond Invitational, clocking a 1:53.71 to place sixth in a 47-athlete field. With that time, Grillo now ranks third in the NCAC this season.

John Carroll, Women’s Indoor Track & Field - Sophomore Natalie Chryst (Toledo, OH/Notre Dame Academy) posted a new indoor personal best in the 800-meter run at the Doug Raymond Invitational, finishing in 2:17.57 to place 10th in a 40-athlete field. The time ranks third in the NCAC this season.

Kenyon, Women’s Indoor Track & Field - Sophomore Penelope Artemis (Nicosia, Cyprus/The Senior School) set a new Kenyon indoor record in the shot put at the Bob Shannon Invitational, placing third with an 11.92-meter toss, which broke the previous school record of 11.61 meters, set by Funmilayo Lawal in 2016. 

Oberlin, Men’s Basketball - Senior guard JJ Gray (Fountain Valley, CA/Fountain Valley) reached the 1,000-career-point milestone in the Yeomen’s 75-66 overtime loss to DePauw on Saturday, becoming the 29th player in program history to hit the mark. Gray scored 25 points in 39 minutes and added five rebounds and three assists while going 3-of-6 from three-point range.

Oberlin, Women’s Basketball - Senior guard Lily Najmulski (Denver, CO/Denver East) scored a career-high 26 points in Saturday’s 69-42 loss at DePauw, shooting 9-of-17 from the field and 8-of-12 from three-point range.

Oberlin, Men’s Indoor Track & Field - First-year Cooper Tanski (Avon, OH/Avon) won the 800-meter run in his season debut at the Dan Kinsey Invitational, posting a 1:57.41. The time moved him to sixth all-time in Oberlin program history and ranks seventh in the NCAC this season… Junior Abraham Cromartie V (Nashville, TN/Father Ryan) recorded a 15.50-meter toss in the weight throw to place third at the Dan Kinsey Invitational. The mark ranks seventh in the NCAC this season and moved him to fourth all-time in Oberlin program history.

Oberlin, Women’s Indoor Track & Field - Senior Anna Fritz (Oberlin, OH/Oberlin) won the long jump at the Dan Kinsey Invitational with a personal-best mark of 5.39 meters. Her leap is tied for second in the NCAC this season and ranks third on Oberlin’s all-time indoor list.

Ohio Wesleyan, Women’s Indoor Track & Field - Sophomore Kennedy Elfers (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty) posted two top-10 marks in program history at the Ashland Jud Logan Open. Elfers ran an indoor personal-best 25.66 in the 200 meters to move to second all-time at Ohio Wesleyan while placing 20th at the meet, then added a 59.25 in the 400 meters to rank eighth all-time in program history with an eighth-place finish.

Wabash, Men’s Basketball - Senior post Gavin Schippert (Evansville, IN/Reitz) surpassed 500 career rebounds in Saturday’s 72-66 home win over Wooster, finishing with 11 boards. Schippert now owns 506 career rebounds, becoming the 18th player in program history to reach the mark.

Wittenberg, Men’s Indoor Track & Field - Junior Neal Godfrey (Columbus, OH/St. Francis DeSales) posted a personal-best 7.08-meter long jump at the Marshall Jewel City Invitational to place third. The mark leads the NCAC this season, ranks 22nd nationally, and stands second all-time in program history.

Wooster, Baseball - Michael Wielansky (St. Louis, MO/Ladue Horton Watkins), the 2018 ABCA Division III Position Player of the Year who was drafted by the Houston Astros following his junior year at Wooster, was named the MVP of the 2026 Caribbean Series after helping lead the Charros de Jalisco to a championship in Mexico.

Wooster, Women’s Indoor Track & Field - Senior Evie Sanford (Columbus, OH/Upper Arlington) improved her own indoor shot put school record for the second time this winter, posting a collegiate-best 13.10 meters.
