Denison Men Capture 2026 National Title, Kenyon Women Take Third

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Denison men captured the 2026 NCAA Swimming & Diving title, earning their first back-to-back titles since 2018-19. The Big Red accumulated 437 points over the course of the four days of action at the national championships to win their seventh national title by 48.5 points.
 
NYU finished as the runner-up in the men’s standings with 388.5 points, while Chicago claimed third with 353 points, 34-time champion Kenyon placed fourth with 299 points and four-time champion Emory earned fifth with 275 points. Additionally, John Carroll tied for 35th with 19 points and Wabash placed 43rd with 11 points.

In the women's final standings, NYU captured its first national crown with 517 points, while 12-time champion Emory placed second (433.5), 25-time national champion Kenyon took third (380), two-time champion Denison placed fourth (304), and two-time champion Williams earned fifth (282.5). Additionally, DePauw tied for 23rd with 21 points. 
 
At the completion of the four days of action in Indianapolis, NCAC student-athletes won 13 national titles, broke four NCAA records, posted 47 top-five finishes and logged 103 All-American performances.
 
Following the meet, the Denison men picked up four major awards. Senior Nick Fogle (Corcoran, MN/Orono) was named the 2026 Division III Men's National Diver of the Year after winning the one-meter (548.80) and three-meter (530.35) competitions, while head diving coach Kai Robinson was tabbed the national Men's Diving Coach of the Year. Junior Jack Hill (Leighton Buzzard, U.K./Cedars Upper) was selected as the Men's National Swimmer of the Year after breaking three NCAA records: 100 free (42.67), 200 free (1:33.94), and the 800-free relay (6:22.37). Impressively, the Denison men's 800 relay consisting of Hill and sophomores, George Goins (Charlotte, NC/McCallie School), Harry Parsons (San Rafael, CA/Bay School) and Nick Hensel (Houston, TX/St. Johns) cut more than four seconds off the national record. Hill also captured runner-up finishes in the 200 IM (1:45.52) and both the 200- (1:18.63) and 400- (2:54.76) free relays and posted a sixth-place showing in the 400-medley relay (3:13.31). Head coach Gregg Parini along with Bates’ Peter Casares were selected as the Division III Men's Coaches of the Year. Parini guided the Big Red to their second-consecutive and seventh overall men's title, while posting 20 Top-8 All-American performances in the men's competition. This is Parini’s eighth national men’s coaching honor and his 13th overall with five accolades being earned while leading the Big Red women.
 
Men's 1,650 Free
Denison sophomore George Goins (Charlotte, NC/McCallie School) touched the wall in 15:04.33 to bring the 1650 title back to Granville for the first time since 2014. Big Red classmate Ben Campbell (Upper Arlington, OH/Upper Arlington) turned in a seventh-place performance with a time of 15:33.90.
 
Women's 1,650 Free
Kenyon senior Molly Haag (Middleton, WI/Middleton) touched the wall first in 16:37.04 to collect the women's 1,650 free title. Denison senior Quinn Brown (Portland, OR/Grant) captured fourth in 16:54.30, while DePauw senior Cora Gilbert (Danville, KY/Boyle County) placed just behind Brown fifth in a time of 16:56.34.
 
Men's 100 Free
Denison junior Jack Hill (Leighton Buzzard, U.K./Cedars Upper), who set the NCAA record in the prelims (42.87), reset the record to 42.67 to post a first-place finish in the championship final. Kenyon senior Djordje Dragojlovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Nada Dimic) followed closely in second, touching the wall in 42.72, while Big Red sophomore Nick Hensel (Houston, TX/St. Johns) earned a fifth-place finish in 43.50.
 
Women's 100 Free
NYU senior Kaley McIntyre earned gold in the event for the third-consecutive year after tying her NCAA record, touching in a time of 48.53. Kenyon senior Lisa Torrecillas-Jouault (Le Mans, France/CENS) was the lone NCAC swimmer in the finals, touching fifth in the consolation finals in a time of 50.62.
 
Men's 200 Backstroke
NYU fifth-year Teddy Cross took first after touching the wall in 1:42.27, while Wabash sophomore Ryan West (Apex, NC/Middle Creek) was the lone NCAC representative in the "A" finals of the 200 backstroke, finishing in a time of 1:46.97 to place eighth.
 
Women's 200 Backstroke
Emory junior Emma Lunn collected the 200 backstroke title in a time of 1:58.83. The NCAC was represented by three swimmers in the consolation finals as Denison first-year Avery Anderson (Bloomfield Hills, MI/Seaholm) and sophomore Caroline Ramirez (Cincinnati, OH/Country Day) and Kenyon senior Gwen Eisenbeis (Okemos, MI/Williamston) finished fourth (2:00.26), fifth (2:00.57) and sixth (2:00.68), respectively, in the “B” finals.
 
Men's 200 Breaststroke
Connecticut sophomore Carrick Shea took gold after touching the wall in 1:54.45. John Carroll junior Bart Kubis (Park Ridge, IL/Maine South) finished in eighth in a time of 1:59.40 as the lone NCAC representative in the "A" finals.

Women's 200 Breaststroke
After a sixth-place finish in 2025, Kenyon sophomore Kelsey Van Eldik (Newcastle, Australia/Merewether) took gold in the women's 200 breaststroke, finishing in a time of 2:11.70. Denison senior Drue Thielking (Brighton, MI/Brighton) captured third in 2:12.84 and Big Red junior Gwen Bakker (Nashville, TN/Father Ryan) placed eighth in 2:18.69.

Women's Three-Meter Diving
MIT junior Fiora Beratahani claimed the three-meter title with 485.30 points in the championship finals.
 
Men's 400 Free Relay
In the final men's event of the evening, the Chicago squad of Cooper Costello, Alex Schwartz, Ryan Lobo and John Butler took gold, touching the wall in a new NCAA record time of 2:53.33. The Denison foursome of junior Jack Hill (Leighton Buzzard, U.K./Cedars Upper), first-year Cam Blevins-Mohr (Lake Stevens, WA/Lake Stevens), and sophomores Harry Parsons (San Rafael, CA/Bay School) and Nick Hensel (Houston, TX/St. Johns) captured a runner-up finish in 2:54.76, while the Kenyon quartet of senior Teo Jaworski (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer), first-year Neil Abrahamson (Woodbury, MN/East Ridge), junior Roman Savage (Claremont, CA/Claremont) and senior Djordje Dragojlovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Nada Dimic) placed third in a time of 2:55.36.
 
Women's 400 Free Relay
NYU’s Lian Jeong Engle, Maeve O’Donnell, Llew Ladomirak and Kaley McIntyre clocked in with a winning time of 3:18.66 to earn the final women’s title of the 2026 meet. The Kenyon squad of senior Gwen Eisenbeis (Okemos, MI/Williamston), senior Molly Haag (Middleton, WI/Middleton), junior Kate Bogan (Irmo, SC/Dutch Fork) and senior Lisa Torrecillas-Jouault (Le Mans, France/CENS) turned in a 3:21.81 to place fourth in the final event.
