CLEVELAND, OH – The Denison Big Red claimed the 2026 NCAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Title after an unblemished 7-0 mark in conference play.
The Big Red lead the way with 25 NCAC Championship titles, followed by Wooster with six, Kenyon and Oberlin with three, and Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg with two each.
As conference champions, Denison has earned the top seed in the 2026 NCAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament, which begins with 6:30 p.m. semifinal matchups on Wednesday, April 29. In the semifinal round, the Big Red will entertain fourth-seeded John Carroll (4-3), while second-seeded Wooster (6-1) will host third-seeded Kenyon (5-2). In regular season play, Denison notched a 10-6 victory over the Blue Streaks, while the Fighting Scots claimed a 18-11 win over the Owls.
The championship game is slated for Saturday, May 2, or Sunday, May 3, at a time to be determined at the site of the highest remaining seed to emerge from the semifinals. Should Kenyon emerge as the highest seed from the semifinals, the championship would move to Sunday due to a conflict with the 2026 NCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, May 2. The tournament winner receives the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament.
Denison leads all NCAC teams with 18 tournament titles since the conference began post-season play in the 1994 season. Wooster has earned six tourney titles, while Oberlin has three, and Kenyon and Ohio Wesleyan have two titles apiece.
