The Fighting Scots will now take on host York at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 10, at 1:00 p.m. WOOSTER 16, FARMINGDALE STATE 8 Kylie MacMillan (Jackson, WY/Jackson Hole) scored four goals including a hat trick in the fourth quarter, Lizzie Hardy (Gibsonia, PA/Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh) distributed four assists, and Wooster opened on a 4-0 run en route to a 16-8 win over Farmingdale State on Saturday at York College. The Fighting Scots needed only 3:40 to break the seal when Mizan Jacobs (Santa Fe, NM/Santa Fe Preparatory) found the back of the net off a Brynne Snaguski (Rolling Hills Estates, CA/Palos Verdes Peninsula) feed. Snaguski added two goals of her own in the opening quarter and Sophia Mellis (Pittsburgh, PA/Oakland Catholic) capped the first 15 minutes with a man-up score for the 4-0 advantage. Wooster pushed the lead to 8-2 by halftime. Mellis added a free-position goal, Jacobs scored her second of the game, Rowan Pilon (Deep River, CT/Valley Regional) found the net off a feed from Edi Fisher (Granville, OH/Granville), and Priya Nehria (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) capped the half on a free-position attempt. After Cassidy Driscoll (Irvine, CA/Orange Lutheran) struck just 1:13 into the third quarter, MacMillan opened her account on an assist from Hardy, and Jacobs added a man-down goal to push the lead to 11-3 entering the fourth. The fourth quarter belonged to MacMillan, who scored three times in a span of just over five minutes to put the game away. Mellis opened the period with a man-up goal and Pilon followed on a Hardy assist before MacMillan answered with a strike off another Hardy feed, a free-position goal, and an assisted finish from Pilon to push it to 16-6. Jacobs finished with three goals on a game-high nine shots on goal, while Mellis matched her with three of her own. Snaguski and Pilon each totaled two goals and two assists, and Driscoll, Nehria and Fisher each chipped in offensively. Hardy's four-assist performance paced the playmakers and she added a team-high five draw controls. Audrey Richardson (Southborough, MA/Algonquin Regional) stopped eight shots in net for Wooster, which dominated the draw circle 15-11 and outshot Farmingdale State 45-22.
