College of Wooster baseball catcher Colin Leslie (Chicago, IL/University of Chicago Laboratory Schools) was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association Division III Region VII All-Defensive Team on Thursday, June 18.

Leslie is Wooster's second selection for this honor, which the ABCA started in 2023. He joins alumnus All-American second baseman Eli Westrick as a selection.

This season, Leslie was an elite catcher, throwing out 19-of-36 would-be base stealers. He picked off 10 runners and had 41 assists as part of a 99.1 fielding percentage. Leslie had a stretch of catching a runner stealing in four straight games, including two in the nightcap of a March 14 doubleheader with Pennsylvania State University Harrisburg.

Leslie earned all-region honors from the ABCA and D3baseball.com this spring and was a first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference selection.

Wooster posted a 25-15 record and was the only Division III team to play three of the four semifinalists at the NCAA Division III Championship during the regular season.
