DePauw first-year forward Caleb Washington (New Albany, IN/Floyd Central) was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week, announced Tuesday, January 23rd.
 
Washington was near perfect from the floor after the Tigers went 2-0 in NCAC play last week. In a 65-61 win over Denison, Washington shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the field and 3-for-3 from behind the arc while also making 4-of-5 free throws. The forward scored a career-high 21 points during the second half of the four-point victory over the Big Red. On Saturday, he netted 16 points in 22 minutes of play, going 7-for-12 from the floor and 2-for-4 from three-point range in a 76-58 win over Kenyon. Washington averaged 19 points on the week, while shooting 74 percent from the field and 71 percent from three over two games.
 
This is the 27th season that D3hoops.com has selected the Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week. This marks the second week that the NCAC has received selections.
