Kasey Schipfer (Mechanicsburg, OH/Mechanicsburg) was named a preseason first-team All-America selection by D3hoops.com, announced Thursday by the organization.
Last season, Schipfer earned a third-team All-America nod by D3hoops.com and received All-America honorable mention recognition from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The guard also was one of 10 women's finalists for the Jostens Trophy, a national award created by the Rotary Club of Salem to honor the most outstanding men's and women's NCAA Division III basketball players of the year. Additionally, Schipfer was named the Region 7 Player of the Year for her efforts on the court and earned Academic All-District® recognition from the College Sports Communicators for her dedication in the classroom.
The two-time NCAC Player of the Year led the league and ranked 21st in NCAA Division III in scoring (20.0 points/game). She also led the conference and ranked eighth in the division in points (601). In league standings, Schipfer finished the 2023-24 season ranked fifth in rebounding (7.8/game), second in total rebounds (235), fourth in field goal percentage (51.7), and led the NCAC and ranked 11th in Division III in field goals (217). Additionally, she led the NCAC in free throw percentage (87.7), free throws (164), steals (91), and steals per game (3.0), ranking her eighth, third, tied for 15th, and tied for 34th in Division III, respectively.
