AUSTIN, TX – College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced the 2025-26 Academic All-America® women's basketball teams, with three North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) student-athletes earning recognition. Ohio Wesleyan junior forward Macy Miller (Marysville, OH/Fairbanks) was named to the first team, while Denison junior guards Ada Taute (Chicago, IL/St. Ignatius College Prep) and Abby Cooch (Clifton, VA/Bishop Ireton) earned second-team and third-team honors, respectively.
Miller, a double-major in Biology and Exercise Science carrying a 3.99 cumulative grade point average, becomes the fourth Academic All-American in program history and the third in as many seasons. The 2025-26 NCAC Player of the Year started 24 of 25 games played and led the conference in rebounding at 11.7 per game while ranking second in scoring (16.2) and blocks (1.7), third in steals (2.3), and fourth in field goal percentage (50.3). Her season was highlighted by a series of milestone performances, beginning with a career-high 20 rebounds on January 3 against Oberlin, making her the first Bishop to accomplish the feat since 2000. She surpassed 1,000 career points on January 14 against Kenyon to become the 20th player in program history to reach the mark, then capped the regular season with a career-high 29 points at Denison on February 21. Miller closed the year with a full slate of postseason recognition, earning D3hoops.com First Team All-American, WBCA All-American, Jostens Trophy Finalist, and D3hoops.com Regional Player of the Year honors.
Taute, an Economics major carrying a 3.75 cumulative grade point average, becomes Denison's first Second-Team Academic All-America® selection and earns her first Academic All-America® nod. The two-time All-NCAC First Team guard started all 32 games for the national champion Big Red, averaging 13.9 points per game to rank sixth in the NCAC while also finishing fifth in the conference in assists (3.2), rebounds (6.8), steals (2.2), and field goal percentage (46.1). Taute also earned WBCA Division III Coaches' First-Team All-American and D3hoops.com Second-Team All-American recognition.
Cooch, a Data Analytics major carrying a 3.53 cumulative grade point average, earns her first Academic All-America® honor after a landmark season for the national champion Big Red. The three-time All-NCAC First Team guard and 2023-24 NCAC Newcomer of the Year started all 32 games, ranking first in the conference in free throw percentage (83.8), second in assists (3.9), and eighth in scoring (13.4). Cooch surpassed 1,000 career points during the first round of the NCAA tournament and finished with a career-high 430 points on the season. She was named the NCAA tournament’s Most Outstanding Player and earned WBCA All-American Honorable Mention.
