CLEVELAND, OH – The North Coast Athletic Conference is celebrating its 40th playing season by selecting All-Decade teams in all 23 championship sports. Student-athletes that competed in the NCAC between the 2013-14 and the 2022-23 seasons who earned Player of the Year honors, or who earned a minimum of three all-NCAC first-team nods during this time were named to the team.
In men's track & field, 28 student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding accomplishments on the track, ring, and/or pit.
In the last ten years, Wabash collected six of the possible nine conference championships. To start the decade, Wabash won two titles in 2014 and 2015 to extend its run to five, dating back to 2011. In 2016, Ohio Wesleyan earned the league's top spot followed a year later by Wabash (2017). The Battling Bishops found themselves at the top again in 2018, but in 2019 the Little Giants topped the podium once again. Wabash went on to win two consecutive conference titles in 2021 and 2022. Together, Ohio Wesleyan and Wabash each own a conference leading nine titles. Last spring, defending champion Denison won its first conference championship since 1991. No champions were crowned in 2020 due to COVID-19.
Founded in 1983, the North Coast Athletic Conference currently consists of nine academically selective NCAA Division III colleges and universities - Denison University, DePauw University, Hiram College, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, Ohio Wesleyan University, Wabash College, Wittenberg University, and the College of Wooster along with affiliate members Allegheny College, Earlham College, Transylvania University and Washington & Jefferson College (field hockey). The NCAC sponsors 23 championship sports, 11 for men and 12 for women.
