NCAC T&F Athletes Close Final Day of Nationals With 13 All-American Honors

LA CROSSE, WI - Fifteen North Coast Athletic Conference student-athletes competed in the final day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex. The NCAC was highlighted by 13 All-American performances on the final day.
 
Wabash senior Sylvester Williams (Indianapolis, IN/Bishop Chatard) started the day with a 15th-place finish in the men’s triple jump after leaping 14.50 meters on his third jump to earn second-team All-American honors. Then in the men’s 1500-meter finals, John Carroll sophomore Sam Su (Akron, OH/Woodridge) collected a runner-up finish, crossing the line in 3:45.44 to claim first-team All-American honors. In the women’s 100-meter hurdle finals, Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Katherine Dortmund (Westerville, OH/Columbus St. Francis DeSales) took sixth place after finishing in 13.81 to earn first-team All-America accolades, while DePauw junior Liberty Scott (Galveston, IN/Lewis Cass) placed ninth in 13.90 to claim a second-team All-America nod.
 
Four NCAC men collected first-team All-America accolades in the 400-meter dash final, as Wittenberg sophomore Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls) placed third (46.148), Wabash first-year Brock DeBello (North Salem, IN/Tri West) took fourth (46.80), John Carroll graduate student Tyler Gast (Olmsted Township, OH/Olmsted Falls) earned fifth (46.86) and JCU senior Basheer Alramahi (Westlake, OH/Westlake) claimed seventh (47.09). Kittle then collected a seventh-place finish in the men’s 200-meter dash finals (21.26) for another first-team All-American effort.
 
John Carroll sophomore Dakota Houston (Beachwood, OH/Beachwood) placed seventh in the women’s 100-meter dash final, timing in at 11.80 to earn All-America first-team honors. Houston, who broke her own school record in the prelims (23.84), collected a fifth-place finish in the women’s 200-meter dash finals (24.21) for another first-team All-America performance.
 
Two NCAC men’s 4x400-meter relays collected first-team All-America finishes, as John Carroll’s Gast, junior Jack Arnold (Berea, OH/Berea Midpark) and seniors Tony Tirado (Chicago, IL/St. Ignatius College Prep) and Alramahi turned in a time of 3:10.63 for sixth, while Wittenberg senior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH/Springfield), junior Owen Bier (Elyria, OH/Midview) and sophomores Kory Davis (Brookville, OH/Brookville) and Kittle crossed the line in 3:11.34 for eighth.
 
John Carroll senior Leah Fritsch (Pittsburgh, PA/Ambridge Area) placed 18th in the women’s javelin after recording a throw of 40.25 meters.
 
In total, NCAC student-athletes secured 26 All-American performances at the 2026 Division III Outdoor Championships.
