North Coast Athletic Conference Announces Partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance

CLEVELAND, OH - The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) is excited to announce a new partnership with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) kicking off this fall.

This collaboration underscores the conference's commitment to fostering the growth and development of its coaches and administrators. Through this partnership, North Coast member institutions will gain access to on-campus PCA workshops over the course of the 2024-25 academic year. The NCAC will also partner with PCA on workshops at each of our in-person Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meetings this coming year.

PCA is a national organization that works to promote positive sports experiences for both the coaches and players. They recognize the immense impact a coach can have to help grow the athlete both on and off the field or playing surface.

“I’m so pleased to partner with Positive Coaching Alliance to support the coaches and athletic staff members across the NCAC. Our coaches dedicate themselves to pouring into our student-athletes, so we, in turn, need to pour back into them for everyone to be successful,” said NCAC Executive Director Keri Alexander Luchowski. “I’m also especially pleased that we will provide programming to our student leaders through SAAC workshops this year. All of this builds on the great Professional Performance Summit: Elevating Our Game, that we hosted this past May. It should be an exciting year.”

As a catalyst for a positive sports culture, Positive Coaching Alliance provides research-based training for coaches, athletes, parents, and leaders. PCA workshops combine the latest in sports, educational psychology, and organizational behavior with practical advice from a National Advisory Board of top pro and college athletes and coaches who use our principles at the highest levels of competition.

In addition to the live workshops, PCA offers expert-developed online courses designed to help coaches, athletes, parents, and officials ensure that winning happens both on and off the field.
Some of the areas of focus include Improved Team Culture, Character Development, Effective Communication, and Healthy Competition.

"With the increased external pressures that our student-athletes face today, it is vital that coaches continue to learn and grow in service of their athletes," said Jason Sacks, Positive Coaching Alliance's President. "We are excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with the North Coast Athletic Conference and their member institutions to host valuable interactive workshops for their coaches and student-athletes."

The North Coast will also gain access to a wealth of resources beyond the workshops. Webinars, practical tools and techniques, and best practices from across the sports landscape will equip member schools to support our coaches and staffs as they in turn support our student-athletes.
