SPRINGFIELD, OH - Top-seeded Wittenberg (20-7) captured the 2025 NCAC Volleyball Tournament title on Saturday, November 15, with a 3-0 win over second-seeded John Carroll (21-9) in the tourney championship final in Springfield, Ohio. Wittenberg earns its league-leading 28th overall conference tournament crown.
As tournament champions, the Tigers earned the NCAC's automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament. Wittenberg will make its 29th appearance in the national tournament. The entire bracket will be revealed on Monday, November 17, at 1:00 p.m. on NCAA.com.
WITTENBERG (20-7) 3, JOHN CARROLL (21-9) 0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-22)
- In a highly competitive tournament final, Wittenberg was led by senior Kaili Worcester (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty), who produced 11 kills, and juniors Sam Fincham (Springfield, OH/Kenton Ridge) and Kait Colahan (Vermilion, OH/Vermilion), who each recorded nine kills apiece, to pace the Tiger offense. Sophomore Clare O'Malley (Avon, OH/St. Joseph's Academy) added eight kills to complement the attack, while sophomore Madelyn Luers (Liberty Township, OH/Lakota East) contributed six kills and provided steady defense with a block and a block assist. Sophomore setter Mary Sulfridge (South Charleston, OH/Southeastern) orchestrated the Wittenberg offense with a match-high 27 assists to go along with 10 digs for the only double-double of the match, while senior Ally White (Harrison, OH/Harrison) added a team-high 13 digs.
- John Carroll was led offensively by junior Natalie Glowe (Kirtland, OH/Kirtland), who produced eight kills to go along with five digs and two service aces. The Blue Streak trio of senior Kendra Dziubinski (St. Charles, IL/St. Charles East) and juniors Mary Kate Sheehan (Chicago, IL/Mother McAuley) and Hailey Williams (Twinsburg, OH/Twinsburg) posted four kills apiece. Dziubinski also added three block assists and two solo blocks, while Sheehan contributed two block assists and Williams added four digs. Sophomore Olivia Mogyordy (Westlake, OH/Westlake High School) tallied a match-high 14 digs, while classmate Tess Humphrey (Huron, OH/Huron High School) added seven digs and a team-high 11 assists.
- The NCAC All-Tournament team was also revealed at the conclusion of the tournament. Seven members from Denison, John Carroll, Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg made up the field. Wittenberg's Worcester was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
