CLEVELAND, OH – The 2025 NCAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships will tee off next weekend, May 2-4, on the North and West courses at
Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana. Wabash College will serve as the host institution for the 54-hole tournament, with 18 holes being played on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, respectively.
Four-time defending NCAC women's champion Denison collected all six first-place votes for 36 total points to top the pre-championship poll following balloting of the league coaches. Five-time NCAC champion DePauw claimed second with a total of 30 points, while Wittenberg, a three-time NCAC champion, tallied 24 points for third place. Wooster (18), Ohio Wesleyan (12), and Hiram (6) round out the six-team field.
The Big Red enter the 2025 NCAC Women's Golf Championship ranked No. 18 in the Clippd rankings and No. 19 in the latest Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Poll. Denison has compiled five top-five team finishes this season, including winning the Lynn Schweizer Invitational (Aug. 31-Sept. 1) this fall. The Big Red welcome back four All-NCAC honorees from last season, including senior
Ella McRoberts (Venetia, PA/Peters Township), juniors
Anna Klass (Marietta, GA/The Walker School) and
Isabella Dolan (St. Petersburg, FL/Shorecrest Preparatory School), and sophomore
Lizzy Grant (Hudson, OH/Hudson). Klass, the 2024 NCAC Newcomer of the Year, and McRoberts, the 2022 NCAC Newcomer of the Year, return after placing fourth and fifth, respectively, at last season's conference championship to earn first-team honors. Dolan and Grant, who received second-team honors in 2024, will look to finish in the top five after they tied for seventh place a season ago.
The Kenyon men, who enter the 2025 NCAC Championship as the defending champions, received seven first-place votes and totaled 63 points to top the pre-championship poll voted on by the league coaches. The Wittenberg Tigers, who owns 12 conference titles, took second in the voting, collecting the remaining first-place vote and 56 points overall. DePauw was tabbed third with 44 points, while Denison received 39 points for fourth and Wabash earned 35 points for fifth. Wooster (27), Ohio Wesleyan (16), and Hiram (8) rounded out the eight-team field.
The Owls head into the conference championship ranked 15th in the Clippd rankings and 16th in the latest Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Bushnell/Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll. Kenyon has placed within the five top-five at three different invitationals this season. The Owls return four All-NCAC honorees from last season, including sophomore
Jaiden Koonar (Alberta, Canada/Webber Academy) and junior
Will Hulsey (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield), who both finished in the top five at last year's conference championship. Koonar and Hulsey earned All-NCAC first-team honors after tying for second and fourth, respectively. Senior
Armand Ouellette (Saco, ME/Thornton Academy), who tied for seventh in 2024, and sophomore
Jonathan Oakes (Dobbs Ferry, NY/US Performance Academy), who tied for 13th and was named the 2024 NCAC Newcomer of the Year, will both aim to improve on their finishes from last season.
Championship action starts at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, May 2, with the men teeing off on hole one and the women teeing off on hole 10. Otter Creek Golf Club's North (1-9) and West (10-18) Courses are a par-72 layout. NCAC tee markers will be used, with the men playing from the blue tees and the women playing from the red tees.
