Six Teams, 25 Student-Athletes Earn Academic Honors from GCAA

NORMAN, OK -- The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars and PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award recipients this week. The North Coast Athletic Conference was highlighted by six programs earning the Team Academic Award and 25 student-athletes earning All-America Scholar honors.

A total of 261 Division III student-athletes from 95 institutions earned Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors in 2025-26. To be eligible, an individual must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in Division III, participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, carry a stroke average under 79.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career GPA of 3.2. A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, which requires a minimum 3.00 team GPA calculated from the cumulative GPAs of every golfer on a program's official roster; President's Special Recognition raises that bar to 3.50.

Kenyon and Wabash earned the GCAA's President's Special Recognition for posting a team GPA of 3.50 or higher, two of just 28 Division III programs nationally to do so. Denison, DePauw, John Carroll and Ohio Wesleyan were named All-Academic Teams after posting at least a 3.00 team GPA, among 34 additional Division III programs to earn that distinction.
