Kenyon Collects Three GCAA PING All-America Honors, Wallace Named Region V Coach of the Year

NORMAN, OK - The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced its 2026 PING All-America Teams on Thursday, June 11. The North Coast Athletic Conference was represented by Kenyon junior Jonathan Oakes (Dobbs Ferry, NY/US Performance Academy) and sophomores Adrian Jordan (Lawrenceville, NJ/Lawrenceville School) and Connor Gray (Winnetka, IL/New Trier), who earned honorable mention recognition.

Oakes collected the third All-America honor of his career this season to become Kenyon’s first three-time selection in program history. The junior repeated as the NCAC's Dick Gordin Award winner as the league's Player of the Year and earned first-team All-NCAC honors for a second-straight season. He finished third at the NCAC Championship with a 221 (77-76-68), which included the tournament's lowest round, and entered the NCAA Championship ranked No. 6 in Region V and No. 38 nationally with a 71.6 scoring average. Oakes helped the Owls finish in a tie for sixth place at the NCAA Division III Championship, the best finish in program history.

Jordan earned the first All-America honor of his career after leading all NCAC golfers at the NCAA Championship. The sophomore opened the national tournament with a 5-under-par 67 to take the outright lead in the 225-golfer field and closed with a 280 (67-71-70-72) to tie for third individually. His effort earned him the program's best individual finish at the NCAA championship.

Gray earned his first All-America recognition after a breakout sophomore season. He played 27 rounds for the Owls, posting a 73.44 scoring average with a low round of 66 and leading the team with 10 rounds at par or better. Gray added a top-five and two top-10 finishes during the regular season, tied for eighth at the NCAC Championship (76-74-77/227) and earned his first All-NCAC first-team selection.

Kenyon head coach Grant Wallace earned the GCAA's 2026 Golf Pride Grips Region V Coach of the Year award. It's the third regional honor of Wallace's 14-year tenure at Kenyon, joining selections in 2018 and 2024. He led the Owls to five top-five finishes in nine events, took third at the NCAC Championship, and tied for sixth at the NCAA Championship, Kenyon’s best finish in program history. The Owl’s 18-hole scoring average of 73.51 this season stands as the second-best mark in program history. A four-time NCAC Coach of the Year, Wallace has coached 44 All-NCAC honorees and 15 PING All-Region selections at Kenyon.
