Kenyon Women’s Tennis Claims NCAA Second Round Win

ST. LOUIS, MO – No. 26 ranked Kenyon claimed a 4-3 victory over No. 25 Sewanee in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship.

The win advances the Owls into the third round, which will be played Saturday, May 11. Kenyon will take on host No. 9 Washington University in Saint Louis at 1:00 p.m.
  • Despite Kenyon's No. 2 doubles pair of Clare Hudson (Louisville, KY/Assumption) and Shadia Amado Aguad (Arequipa, Peru/Colegio Anglo Americano Presco) picking up a 6-1 victory, Sewanee took a 1-0 lead over Kenyon with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
  • In singles, Kenyon earned its first two points of the match thanks to Amado Aguad winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 3 and Ana Brand (Aschaffenburg, Germany/Friedrich-Dessauer-Gymnasium) earning a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2. Hana Nouaime (Eagleville, PA/Methacton) fell at No. 5 (6-3, 6-1), before Eleni Lazaridou (Veroia, Greece/4th Lyceum of Veria) posted a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 victory at the top flight to give the Owls a 3-2 lead. The No. 4 flight would go to the Tigers, as Hudson fell 7(6), 6 (7), 6-3, which tied the match at 3-3. It came down to a three-set thriller at No. 6, as Lalasa Nagireddy (Dublin, OH/Dublin Jerome) won the first set 6-3, dropped the second set 7-5 and then earned a 7-5 victory in the third set to clinch the match.
