Oakes earns Kenyon its fifth overall Player of the Year award, and first since Armand Ouellette was named in 2022. The sophomore collects his second all-conference certificate after being selected to the first team this season and placing in the top 15 at the NCAC Championship for a third-team nod in 2024. The 2024 NCAC Newcomer of the Year has earned four top-10 finishes this season, including winning medalist honors in the 77-golfer field at the Caschera/DiCillo Classic after he carded a two-under 142 (72-70). The sophomore is currently the highest ranked golfer in the NCAC and sits at No. 6 in Region V and No. 47 in all of Division III. Oakes owns a 72.15 scoring average. Bolte, who collected All-NCAC first-team honors in his first year of collegiate men’s golf, was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year. He is the second Tiger men’s golfer to claim the honor and first since Cameron Willis was named in 2017. Bolte has earned three top-10 finishes this season, including tying for fifth at the 54-hole 2025 NCAC Men’s Golf Championship with a two-under 214 (71-68-75). He was only one of two golfers that carded a four-under 68 in the conference championship. The first-year is currently the fourth highest ranked golfer in the NCAC and sits at No. 16 in Region V and No. 113 in all of Division III. Bolte owns a 73.95 scoring average. Joining Bolte and Oakes on the first team were DePauw senior Manuel Loring-Campos (Madrid, Spain/San Patricio, El Soto), Kenyon sophomore Jaiden Koonar (Alberta, Canada/Webber Academy) and Wabash junior Sean Bledsoe (Columbia City, IN/Columbia City). Koonar is the only repeat honoree to the first team this season. Finally, Wittenberg earned the 2025 Coaching Staff of the Year honor. This is the 12th time that the Tiger leadership has earned the top coaching honor in men’s golf. Head coach David Wetterich, who is in his third season at the helm, is assisted by Jon Yarbrough and Kurt Heintz. The Wittenberg squad placed in the top 10 seven times this season, including four first-place finishes. The Tigers started the season with a first-place finish in Denison’s Ted Barclay Invitational and then collected a top finish at their own Jeff Roope Invitational and Win Palmer Cup. The team just recently earned their 13th overall NCAC Championship title with a 54-hole score of 858 (284-283-291). As NCAC champions, Wittenberg earned the league’s automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships, which will be contested at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York, May 20-23.
