After capturing both the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) title and winning the 2025 NCAC Tournament, Denison (35-5) has earned the league’s automatic bid into the 2025 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship and will serve as a regional host. The four-team, double-elimination regional will be held May 16-18 in Granville, Ohio.
Joining the Big Red in Granville will be Manchester (29-12), Keystone (35-9), and Penn State Behrend (30-9). Action gets underway Friday with Denison taking on Manchester in Game 1, followed by Keystone facing Penn State Behrend in Game 2. The tournament will continue Saturday with Games 3-5. Sunday’s action will feature Game 6 with Game 7 to follow if necessary. All game times are to be determined.
Denison enters the tournament after a dominant run through the NCAC, finishing with a 14-1 mark in conference play. The Big Red secured the conference’s automatic bid into the national tourney by defeating Wooster in game 1 (6-5, 12 innings), Wittenberg in game 3 (6-2), and the Fighting Scots again in game 6 (10-5) to win the 2025 NCAC Tournament Title.
Manchester earned its spot in the national field by capturing the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) title, Keystone claimed the United East crown, and Penn State Behrend advanced after winning the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament.
Denison is 3-1 all-time against Manchester, 1-1 against Keystone, and 5-0 in the series with Penn State Behrend.
This marks Denison’s seventh NCAA tournament appearance. The Big Red hold an 11-12 all-time record (.478) in national postseason play. Manchester is making its seventh appearance and owns a 15-12 record (.556), while Keystone returns to the NCAA tourney for the 18th time and holds a 35-32 mark (.522) and Penn State Behrend will make its seventh appearance, entering with a 5-12 record (.294).
The winner of the Granville Regional will move on to the Super Regional round, scheduled for May 23-24. The NCAA Division III Finals will be held May 30-June 5 at Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio, hosted by the NCAC, the Lake County Captains, and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
