All Nine NCAC Schools Featured in Final Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings 6/25/2026 9:00:00 AM Share: CLEVELAND, OH - In the final update of the 2025-26 Division III LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings, all nine North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) institutions earned national standings. Denison paced the conference with a ranking of 19th among 317 point-scoring schools with a total of 672.00 points. The Big Red have now led the NCAC for seven consecutive seasons, excluding 2020 and 2021 when no points were awarded. The Learfield Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships in up to 18 sports across the fall, winter and spring seasons. Denison finished the 2025-26 season with 672.00 points to lead the NCAC, earning 317.00 points this spring after totaling 280.00 points in the winter and 75.00 points in the fall. The Big Red’s spring season was highlighted by a perfect 100-point contribution from the baseball team after they captured the 2026 NCAA National Title. The men's tennis team secured a fifth-place national finish to register 73.00 points, while women’s lacrosse collected 64.00 points with a ninth-place finish, and the women's golf team added 55.00 points with a 19th-place finish. Softball rounded out scoring for the Big Red, collecting a 49th-place finish to obtain 25.00 points. John Carroll secured 28th overall, accumulating 585.25 points to rank as the NCAC’s second-highest scoring institution. The Blue Streaks earned 152.50 points in the spring, with men's track & field leading the way after tallying 64.50 points after a 12th-place finish. Men's golf followed with 56.00 points after an 18th-place finish, while women's track & field captured 32.00 points with a 37th-place finish on the national stage. Kenyon secured 51st overall, recording 365.75 points to rank as the NCAC’s third-highest ranked member. The Owls picked up 200.75 points in the spring, highlighted by 72.75-point performance from men's golf, while both the men’s and women’s tennis teams collected 64.00 points apiece with ninth-place finishes. Wittenberg compiled 264.50 overall points to earn 75th place. The Tigers secured 159.00 points in the spring, led by the men's volleyball team, who provided 83.00 points after a third-place national finish. Men's outdoor track & field recorded 51.00 points after a 23rd-place finish and baseball collected 25.00 points with a 49th-place finish. Ohio Wesleyan finished 94th in the rankings, totaling 215.25 points throughout 2025-26. The Battling Bishops added 35.50 points in the spring, which were earned by the men's lacrosse team’s 33rd-place finish (25.00) and the women's track & field team's 61st-place finish (10.50). DePauw placed right behind the Battling Bishops in 95th, collecting 214.50 total points, composing 50.00 points during the spring season. The Tigers collected all 50.00 spring points from the baseball team's 17th-place national finish. Wabash, a male-only institution, placed 146th in the standings by culminating 132.00 total points. The Little Giants men's outdoor track & field team added 31.00 points this spring after finishing 41st at the national championship. Wooster earned 50.00 points to finish in a tie for 236th overall, with the women's lacrosse team contributing all 50.00 points in the spring season following a 17th-place showing on the national stage. Oberlin closed out the NCAC’s representation tying for 314th overall with 21.00 points, all of which came from a 51st-place showing in men’s indoor track & field. Washington-St. Louis claimed the 2025-26 Division III Directors’ Cup, winning with 1,266.50 total points. Tufts placed second with 1,252.50 points, while Johns Hopkins earned 1,180.00 points to round out the top three.
