Denison, DePauw's Williams Wrap Up Round One Before Suspension

WILLIAMSBURG, VA– Play at the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship was suspended due to darkness following a weather delay and unplayable course conditions earlier in the day at the Kingsmill Resort’s par-72, 5,817-yard River Course in Williamsburg, Virginia. As a result, the first round will be completed tomorrow before the start of second-round play.

Despite the weather delays, Denison’s women’s golf team and DePauw senior Becky Williams (Zionsville, IN/University High School of Indiana) were able to complete the first round of play. Denison was led by sophomore Lizzy Grant (Hudson, OH/Hudson), who carded a 76 (+4). First-year Siena Maschke (Cleveland, OH/Laurel School) and Williams each posted rounds of 77 (+5). Senior Ella McRoberts (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) recorded an 82 (+10), followed by sophomore Natalia Fanucchi (Carlsbad, CA/Sage Creek) with an 83 (+11) and junior Isabella Dolan (St. Petersburg, FL/Shorecrest Preparatory School) with an 85 (+13).

Tee times for the completion of the first round and the start of round two are yet to be announced.

The team and individual champions will be determined after 72 holes of play or the conclusion of the last fully completed round. Twenty-nine teams and six individuals not on one of those teams were selected to participate in the championships. Following 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams to compete the final day. In the team competition, the low four scores from each team for each day will count in the team’s total score.
