17 NCAC Athletes Head to NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The North Coast Athletic Conference will be represented by 17 student-athletes across eight conference institutions at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which are set to take place on May 22-24, at the SPIRE Institute's Outdoor Track & Field facility in Geneva, Ohio. The NCAC, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, and SPIRE Institute are set to host the 2025 championship.
 
For the women, DePauw will send three student-athletes to the DIII Championships, as senior Sophie Porter (Westfield, IN/Westfield) holds the 14th-best 10,000 meter run (35:31.67), while classmate Katie Moore (Lawrenceville, IL/Lawrenceville) has the 14th-highest heptathlon score (4,751) and sophomore Liberty Scott (Galveston, IN/Lewis Cass) owns the 15th-quickest 100-meter hurdle time (14.15). Wooster senior Daysia Hargrave (Orrville, OH/Orrville) and Ohio Wesleyan first-year Katherine Dortmund (Westerville, OH/Columbus St. Francis DeSales) will join Scott in the 100-meter hurdles, as Hargrave enters the national meet with the No. 11 seed (14.11) and Dortmund has the No. 18 seed in the event (14.19). Kenyon senior Paula Soric (Zadar, Croatia/Gimnazija Franje Petrica Zadar) will compete with the 19th-best distance in the triple jump (11.96m).
 
On the men's side, Denison will send a trio of seniors, as Chris Slater (Hudson, OH/Hudson) has qualified for the hammer throw with the fifth-best throw (61.85m), while Andrew D'Asaro (Downingtown, PA/The Hill School) is the No. 15 seed in the javelin (63.05m) and Ari Skolnik (Glencoe, IL/New Trier Township) will enter the 110-meter hurdles with the 18th-fastest time (14.25). Ohio Wesleyan senior Trey Theobald (Archbold, OH/Archbold) will join D’Asaro in the javelin with the 13th-best heave (63.37m), while Battling Bishop sophomore Connor Smith (Marysville, OH/Marysville) sits tied for the eighth-best height in the high jump (2.07m). Oberlin senior Cole Fuller (Chicago, IL/Latin School of Chicago) has the No. 22 seed in the 400-meter hurdles (52.74), while classmate Walter Moak (Charlottesville, VA/Western Albemarle) owns the 15th-fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase (8:55.45) and junior Namu Makatiani (Nairobi, Kenya/George School (PA)) owns the 17th-farthest mark in the triple jump (14.72m). Wabash senior Will Neubauer (South Bend, IN/John Adams) enters with the 18th-quickest 800-meter run (1:50.42) and junior Quinn Sholar (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) owns the No. 16 seed in the discus (51.54m). Wittenberg first-year Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH/Chagrin Falls) is tied for top-15 times in the 200-meter (11th, 21.10) and 400-meter (14th, 47.11) dashes.
