MINNEAPOLIS, MN - DePauw junior Chris Green (Indianapolis, IN/Ben Davis) was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday, October 20, one of just three NCAA Division III defensive tackles to earn the honor.

Green garnered the national award after posting a stat line that included six total tackles (3 solo, 3 assists), 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in DePauw’s 62-14 win over Denison. His six tackles tied for the team lead, and he led all players in both tackles for loss and sacks.

The defensive lineman’s stops behind the line set the opposing offense back 24 total yards, and he added a game-high four quarterback hurries. Green also forced a fumble that the Tigers recovered and turned into a touchdown on the next play as DePauw defended its home field.

This is the 28th season that D3football.com has selected the Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week. This marks the third week this season that the NCAC has received selections, and the second time a DePauw player has been recognized.
