Wittenberg’s Allen & Farfoglia Secure Pentathlon & Heptathlon Titles 2/22/2026 8:15:00 PM Share: WOOSTER, OH -- The 2026 NCAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Combined Events Championships were held on Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 21-22, at the College of Wooster. Wittenberg first-year Bethany Allen (Greenup, KY/Russell) won the pentathlon with 2,881 points, while the Tiger’s junior Nick Farfoglia (Manchester, MD/Manchester Valley) won the heptathlon with 4,742 total points. Allen claimed the pentathlon victory after placing first in both the long jump (4.99m; 16’ 4.50”) and the 800 meter run (2:37.18), while also tying for second-place in the high jump (1.50m; 4’ 11.00”), finishing third in the shot put (8.80m; 28’ 10.50”) and crossing the line in sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.36). Farfoglia collected the heptathlon win after earning a first place finish in the long jump (6.41m; 21’ 0.50”) and 60-meter hurdles (8.81), claiming runner-up in both the pole vault (4.25m; 13’ 11.25”) and 60-meter run (7.19), tying for second in the high jump (1.80m; 5’ 10.75”), and collecting eighth in the 1,000-meter run (3:01.01) and ninth in the shot put (10.11m; 33’ 2.00”). Other top finishes in the pentathlon events went to Denison senior Sydney Brown (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom), who finished the 60-meter hurdles (9.71), Wittenberg sophomore Cayla Eaton (North Lewisburg, OH/Triad), who posted the highest mark in the high jump (1.53m; 5’ 0.25”) and John Carroll senior Leah Fritsch (Pittsburgh, PA/Ambridge Area), who took first in the shot put (9.74m; 31’ 11.50”). Other first-place finishes in the heptathlon events went to Ohio Wesleyan junior Michael Strange (High Bridge, NJ/Voorhees), who earned the win in the 60-meter dash (7.12), DePauw sophomore Tucker Risley (Bruceville, IN/South Knox), who won both the shot put (14.17m; 46’ 6.00”) and the high jump (1.92m; 6’ 3.50”), Wabash first-year Tyler Petroski (Crawfordsville, IN/Southmont), who collected first in the pole vault (4.45m; 14 7.25”) and Kenyon senior Josh Greville (Kane, PA/Kane Area), who crossed the line first in the 1,000 meter run (2:44.22). The 2026 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28, at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. Total team points from the combined events will be factored into next weekend's results toward the final team standings. After the pentathlon, Wittenberg has earned 18 points, followed by Denison (11), Ohio Wesleyan (5), John Carroll (4) and Oberlin (1). Following the completion of the heptathlon, Wabash currently has 11 points, followed closely by Wittenberg with 10, while Kenyon (6), DePauw (5), John Carroll (4) and Ohio Wesleyan (3) all scored team points.
