NCAC Swimmers Collect Two More Titles, Set Another NCAA Record 3/19/2026 8:30:00 PM Share: INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Two national titles, one national record and nine other top-five finishes highlighted Thursday’s action by North Coast Athletic Conference student-athletes at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. Through 18 total events at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana, NCAC athletes have combined for 25 top-five finishes and 46 All-American efforts. With nine men’s events in the books, Denison remains in first with a 47-point lead in the team standings with 226 total points. Chicago sits in second with 179 points, while NYU is in third just 10 points behind the Maroons (169), Kenyon sits in fourth with 150 points and Emory is in fifth with 134 points. The NYU women maintained their lead after scoring 139 points Thursday night for a two-day total of 260 points. The Violets hold a 71.5-point lead over second-place Emory (188.5), while Kenyon sits in third (176.5), Denison is fourth (114.5) and MIT rounds out the top five (102). Men's 200 Freestyle Denison junior Jack Hill (Leighton Buzzard, U.K./Cedars Upper) took gold in the “A” finals touching the wall in a new NCAA record time of 1:33.94 for the 2026 title. Kenyon senior Teo Jaworski (Ann Arbor, MI/Pioneer) placed fourth in 1:36.60, followed by Denison sophomore George Goins (Charlotte, NC/McCallie School) in fifth (1:36.85), Big Red sophomores Nick Hensel (Houston, TX/St. Johns) and Harry Parsons (San Rafael, CA/Bay School) in sixth (1:37.49) and eighth (1:38.74), respectively. With four Denison swimmers in the “A” finals, the Big Red tacked on 58 points to increase their lead. Women's 200 Freestyle NYU senior Kaley McIntyre won her fourth-consecutive national title in the women's 200 free title in a time of 1:45.90, becoming just the third women's swimmer in NCAA history to claim four-straight titles in the event. Kenyon senior Molly Haag (Middleton, WI/Middleton) placed third in a time of 1:48.94. Men's 100 Butterfly Chicago junior Cooper Costello earned the national title after outpacing the field with a new national record time of 45.85, breaking his previous record. Denison first-year Cam Blevins-Mohr (Lake Stevens, WA/Lake Stevens) placed eighth, touching the wall in 47.94. Women's 100 Butterfly Claremont-Mudd Scripps senior Madeleine Kan earned the national title in the 100 fly with a time of 53.57, while Denison junior Jassy Park (Lakeway, TX/Hyde Park) was the lone NCAC swimmer in the finals, placing 16th overall in a time of 56.04. Men's 400 IM NYU sophomore Maksym Nechydyuk collected the 400 IM title in a time of 3:47.86, while Kenyon senior Ethan Manske (Santa Fe, NM/St. Michaels), who finished in seventh a season ago, collected a fourth-place finish in a time of 3:51.23. Women's 400 IM Kenyon junior Ashlyn Widmer (Danville, CA/San Ramon Valley) took home the 2026 title to Gambier for the first time since 2003, after touching the wall in 4:20.61. Denison senior Emily Harris (Nashville, TN/Ensworth) followed 0.01 second behind for runner-up honors (4:20.62). Women's One-Meter Diving Carleton sophomore Nina Schwab claimed the one-meter title with 465.65 points in the championship finals. Denison senior Lu-Si Minnich (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence Central), who is the NCAC’s only diver on the women’s side, recorded a score of 372.65 to place 24th. Men's 200 Freestyle Relay In the men's final event on Thursday night, the Chicago squad of Cooper Costello, Rylan Kruep, Igor Benderskii and John Butler captured the 200 free relay title in a time of 1:18.57. The Denison quartet of junior Jack Hill (Leighton Buzzard, U.K./Cedars Upper), sophomore Nick Hensel (Houston, TX/St. Johns), first-year Cam Blevins-Mohr (Lake Stevens, WA/Lake Stevens) and sophomore Harry Parsons (San Rafael, CA/Bay School) took second in 1:18.63, while the Kenyon team of senior Djordje Dragojlovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Nada Dimic), first-year Neil Abrahamson (Woodbury, MN/East Ridge), sophomore Spencer Stluka (Oregon, WI/Oregon) and junior Peter Dunson (Durham, NC/Trinity School) placed fourth in 1:18.88. Women's 200 Freestyle Relay NYU captured the final women’s title of night two after Lian Jeong Engle, Maeve O’Donnell, Llew Ladomirak, and Kaley McIntyre touched the wall in a new NCAA record time of 1:29.38 for the 200 free relay victory. The Kenyon squad of senior Gwen Eisenbeis (Okemos, MI/Williamston), first-year Julia Mascarenhas (Curitiba, Brazil/Colegio Saber), junior Kate Bogan (Irmo, SC/Dutch Fork) and senior Lisa Torrecillas-Jouault (Le Mans, France/CENS) took third in the championship heat with a time of 1:31.68, while the Denison quartet of junior Ollie Morse (Granville, OH/Columbus School for Girls), first-year Hailey Kaminski (Northfield, OH/Nordonia), sophomore Caroline Ramirez (Cincinnati, OH/Country Day) and senior Emily Harris (Nashville, TN/Ensworth) placed fifth in 1:32.12.
