Denison Captures NCAC Men’s Tennis Title, Earns Tournament Top Seed

CLEVELAND, OH - Denison (8-0, NCAC) won its sixth consecutive and 18th overall North Coast Athletic Conference men's tennis championship after finishing the season with a perfect mark against league foes. Only three teams have claimed a conference men’s tennis championship; in addition to the Big Red, Kenyon has accumulated a league-leading 22 NCAC championship titles, while Wooster has earned four conference championships.

The Owls (7-1) finished second in the standings, followed by Oberlin (6-2), DePauw (5-3), Wabash (4-4), Wooster (3-5), John Carroll (2-6), Ohio Wesleyan (1-7), and Wittenberg (0-8) in places three through nine.

As league champions, Denison has earned the No. 1 seed, hosting rights, and a bye in the quarterfinal round of the 2026 NCAC Men's Tennis Tournament. As the No. 2 seed, Kenyon has also earned a bye into the semifinal round. The three-day, five-match, single-elimination tournament will be held Friday-Sunday, April 24-26. The tournament begins with quarterfinal matches on Friday, followed by semifinal matches on Saturday and then the tournament championship match on Sunday.

The first quarterfinal match on Friday will feature No. 4 DePauw and No. 5 Wabash at 11:00 a.m., while the second quarterfinal match is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start with No. 3 Oberlin taking on No. 6 Wooster.

On Saturday, the first semifinal is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. with No. 1 Denison meeting the winner of DePauw/Wabash, while the winner of Oberlin/Wooster will square off with No. 2 Kenyon at 1:30 p.m.
 
The championship match is set for 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, with the tournament winner receiving the NCAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
