NCAC Men’s Lacrosse Names Five Champions; Oberlin Enters Tourney as Top Seed

CLEVELAND, OH – The 2026 NCAC regular season ended in historic fashion, as Denison, Kenyon, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan and Wooster each earned a share of the North Coast Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse title after posting identical 6-2 league records. This marks the first time that the NCAC has had five co-champions in any sport and the sixth time overall with multiple men’s lacrosse champions.

Denison and Ohio Wesleyan remain tied for the league lead with ?23 NCAC Championship titles apiece. Kenyon has collected three conference crowns, while Wittenberg and Wooster have each earned two titles, and Oberlin captures its first championship in men’s lacrosse. 

Through predetermined tiebreaking procedures, the Yeomen have earned the top seed in the 2026 NCAC Tournament; the Battling Bishops are second, the Big Red are third and the Fighting Scots are the fourth and final seed in the four-team event.

The 2026 NCAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament begins with 7:00 p.m. semifinal matchups on Wednesday, April 29. Oberlin will host fourth-seeded Wooster, while second-seeded Ohio Wesleyan welcomes third-seeded Denison. During the regular season, the Fighting Scots earned a 12-11 win over the Yeomen, while the Battling Bishops claimed a 12-9 victory over the Big Red.

The championship game is set for Saturday, May 2, at 1:00 p.m. at the site of the highest remaining seed to emerge from the semifinal round. The tournament winner receives the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament.

Denison leads all NCAC teams with nine tournament titles since the conference began post-season play in the 2013 season. Ohio Wesleyan has claimed the other three tourney titles.
