Heptathlon & Decathlon Open Outdoor Championships 4/26/2026 6:50:00 PM Share: GRANVILLE, OH - The 2026 NCAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Combined Championships were held on Saturday-Sunday, April 25-26, at Denison University. Wittenberg sophomore Cayla Eaton (North Lewisburg, OH/Triad) won the heptathlon with 4,263 points, while Wittenberg junior Nicolas Farfoglia (Manchester, MD/Manchester Valley) earned the win in the decathlon with 6,161 total points. Eaton claimed the heptathlon victory after placing first in the 100-meter hurdles (15.21), high jump (1.57m), long jump (5.08m), and javelin (31.11m), finishing second in the 200-meter dash (27.20), earning fourth in the shot put (8.32m), and collecting fifth in the 800-meter run (2:41.62). Farfoglia earned the decathlon win after taking first in the long jump victory (6.41m) and the pole vault (4.25m), placing second in the 110-meter hurdles (16.49), 100-meter run (11.29) and high jump (1.85m), fifth in the discus (33.69m), sixth in the 1,500-meter run (5:07.68) and seventh in the shot put (10.34m), javelin (37.62m) and 400-meter dash (52.98). Other first-place finishes in the heptathlon went to Wooster junior Kylie Parsons (Mount Vernon, OH/Mount Vernon), who collected a win in the shot put (9.07m), Ohio Wesleyan first-year Kateri Hoy (Radnor, OH/Buckeye Valley), who captured the victory in the 200-meter dash (27.01) and Wittenberg first-year Bethany Allen (Greenup, KY/Russell), who paced the field in the 800-meter run (2:34.17). In the decathlon, DePauw sophomore Tucker Risley (Bruceville, IN/South Knox) was a triple winner, collecting first in the shot put (12.83m), high jump (1.88m), and discus (40.96m), while first-year teammate Beckett Frye (St. Charles, MO/Francis Howell) earned the win in the javelin (51.50m). Ohio Wesleyan junior Michael Strange (High Bridge, NJ/Voorhees) recorded a victory in the 100-meter dash (11.12), while sophomore teammate Michael Hess (Painesville, OH/Fairport Harding) crossed the line first in the 110-meter hurdles (16.12), and Kenyon senior Josh Greville (Kane, PA/Kane Area) paced the field in both the 400-meter dash (49.86) and 1,500-meter run (4:29.32). The 2026 NCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held Friday-Saturday, May 1-2, at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Total team points from the combined events will be factored into next weekend's results toward the final team standings. After the heptathlon, Wittenberg has earned 18 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (9), Denison (6) and Oberlin (6). Following the completion of the decathlon, Wittenberg currently has 10 points, while Ohio Wesleyan (9), Wabash (7), Kenyon (6), Denison (4), and DePauw (3) all scored team points.
