JCU Leads NCAC Men’s Golf After Day 1; Women’s Opening Round Suspended 5/1/2026 5:17:01 PM Share: VIENNA/WARREN, OH – The first round of the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship concluded Friday afternoon at Avalon Lakes, while the first round of the Women’s Golf Championship was suspended due to wet conditions at Squaw Creek. John Carroll sits atop the eight-team men's leaderboard at 299 (+11). The Blue Streaks carry a four-stroke lead over DePauw (303) into Saturday's round, while Kenyon sits in third at 309 and Wittenberg (314), Wabash (316), Ohio Wesleyan (318), Wooster (321) and Denison (324) round out the men's field. John Carroll’s Justy VonLehmden (Findlay, OH/Saint John's Jesuit) and DePauw’s Andrew Wall (Zionsville, IN/Zionsville) lead the men's individual standings after they both shot a one-under 71 on the 6,896-yard, par-72 layout of the Avalon Lakes course. Blue Streak teammate Wade Boyle (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Central Catholic) is in third with an even 72, while DePauw’s William Davis (Columbus, IN/Columbus North) is in fourth with a 73 and Wittenberg’s Alex Rath (Dublin, OH/Scioto), Kenyon’s Connor Gray (Winnetka, IL/New Trier) and Denison’s Jack Pelletier (Charlotte, NC/ Ardrey Kell) sit in a three-way tie for fifth after they all fired 76 on day one.
