Denison Women, John Carroll Men on Top After Second Round of NCAC Golf

VIENNA/WARREN, OH – The second round of the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship was completed at the Avalon Lakes, while the Women's Golf Championship resumed round one play after a weather suspension on Friday and also completed round two at Squaw Creek. John Carroll remains as the men’s leader with a 598 (299-299), while Denison is on top of the women's leaderboard with a cumulative score of 624 (316-308).
 
In the men's standings, Kenyon sits in second nine strokes behind the Blue Streaks with a 607 (309-298), while Wittenberg is in third with a 608 (314-294) followed by DePauw (303-306:609), Ohio Wesleyan (318-314:632), Wabash (316-318:634), Wooster (321-315:636) and Denison (324-319:643).
 
For the women, Kenyon sits in second 17 strokes behind the Big Red with a 641 (321-320) and DePauw is in third with a 646 (335-311), followed by Wittenberg (344-336:680), John Carroll (348-340:688), Wooster (362-350:712) and Ohio Wesleyan (340-376:716).      
 
DePauw’s Andrew Wall (Zionsville, IN/Zionsville) sits atop the men's individual standings after round two with a 144, shooting a one-under 71 in round one and 73 in round two on the 6,896-yard, par-72 layout of Avalon Lakes course. John Carroll’s Justy VonLehmden (Findlay, OH/Saint John's Jesuit) and Wade Boyle (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Central Catholic) sit in second and third, respectively, as VonLehmden holds a 146 (71-75) and Boyle has a 147 (72-75). Kenyon’s Connor Gray (Winnetka, IL/New Trier) is in fourth with a 150 (76-74) and Wittenberg’s Mark Sulek (Delaware, OH/Hayes) rounds out the top five with a 151 (79-72).
 
The top five women’s golfers are separated by five strokes, as Kenyon’s Rafaela Plasa (Isernhagen, Germany/Western Reserve Academy) sits in first with a 149 after carding a 76 in round one and a 73 in round two. Denison’s Siena Maschke (Cleveland, OH/Laurel School) is one-stroke back of Plasa with a 151 (77-74), while the Owl’s Sasha Belova (Ekaterinburg, Russia/Ekaterinburg Gymnasium #2) is in third with a 152 (77-75), followed by the Big Red’s Natalia Fanucchi (Carlsbad, CA/Sage Creek) in fourth with a 153 (78-75) and DePauw’s Daisy Williams (Bunker Hill, IN/Maconaquah) with a 154 (81-73).
 
The final round of the NCAC Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships will get underway on Sunday, May 3, with both the men and women teeing off at 9:00 a.m.
