GAMBIER, OH - John Carroll claimed the NCAC title at the 2026 NCAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. The Blue Streaks claimed 163.5 total points to win their first NCAC Outdoor Title.
Wittenberg captured runner-up honors with 156.0 points, followed by Wabash (145.5), Ohio Wesleyan (89.0), DePauw (87.5), Kenyon (59.5), Denison (53.0), Oberlin (40.0) and Wooster (23.0).
2026 NCAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year Award Winners:
Men's Field: Quinn Sholar, Wabash
Wabash senior
Quinn Sholar (Indianapolis, IN/Warren Central) earned the 2026 NCAC Field Athlete of the Year award after earning two all-conference certificates. Sholar took first in the shot put with a toss of 15.98 meters and claimed the discus title with a heave of 51.77 meters.
Men's Sprint/Hurdles: Jack Kittle, Wittenberg
Wittenberg sophomore
Jack Kittle (Chargin Falls, OH/Chargin Falls) earned the 2026 Sprint/Hurdles Athlete of the Year honor with victories in the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay. Kittle finished with times of 21.06, 46.56 and 3:16.45, respectively, breaking the NCAC record in both the 200 and 400. He was also part of the 4x100-meter relay squad that finished third in 41.42.
Men's Distance/Middle Distance: Lukas Rieben, Wittenberg
Wittenberg junior
Lukas Rieben (Clayton, OH/Northmont) was named the 2026 Distance/Middle Distance Athlete of the Year after sweeping the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter runs. He posted winning times of 14:32.25 and 32:14.95, respectively.
Newcomer of the Year: Sam Vaught, Wabash
Wabash first-year
Sam Vaught (Indianapolis, IN/Roncalli) was named the 2026 Newcomer of the Year after placing second in the 800-meter (1:55.77) and 1,500-meter (3:59.66) runs. He was also part of the 4x400-meter relay squad that finished fourth in 3:20.01.

John Carroll’s coaching staff, led by head coach
Daniel Tutskey, earned the 2026 Coaching Staff of the Year award after leading the Blue Streaks to their first NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Title. The staff, which includes assistant coaches
