Kenyon Claims NCAA Men’s Tennis Second Round Victory

CHICAGO, IL -- No. 13 ranked Kenyon claimed a 4-1 victory over No. 23 Gustavus Adolphus in the second round of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship. The win advances the Owls into the third round, which will be played Saturday, May 9, at 12:00 p.m. against host No. 1 UChicago.

Despite losing the doubles point, Kenyon responded with four-straight singles victories. First-year Maximo Llamas Castellanos (Guadalupe, Mexico/Prepa Tec Valle Alto) earned identical 6-3, 6-3 victories for the first Owl point at the No. 2 flight. Sophomore Juozas Cioladis (Kildare, Ireland/McCallie School) followed with a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 4, while junior Jay Kedar Dixt (Vidya Valley School) earned a 6-2, 7-5 victory at No. 5 and first-year Stylianos Papamichael (Nicosia, Cyprus/The Grammer School, Nicosia) clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6.
