NORTHBROOK, IL - Five North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) football student-athletes were nominated for the 2026 Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team®, announced Monday, July 20. The honorees are Denison senior defensive lineman Drew Duffy (Glenview, IL/Glenbrook South), John Carroll senior offensive lineman Troy Mrukowski (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty), Ohio Wesleyan junior offensive lineman Mike Seney (Perrysburg, OH/Perrysburg), Washington University in St. Louis senior linebacker Spencer Snipe (Smyrna, GA/Woodward Academy), and Wooster senior defensive lineman Donovon Jackson (Solon, OH/Solon).
Duffy earned Third Team All-NCAC honors in 2025 and has been a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree. A Philosophy, Politics and Economics major, he served as Vice President of Denison's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as a junior and was named to the 2025-26 NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
Mrukowski, a Second Team All-NCAC selection last season, is an Education major and a member of John Carroll's Jesuit Day of Service Core Team. He was named to the 2025-26 NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
Seney, started all 10 games in his first season with the Bishops last year, playing primarily at center. An Education major, he has earned CSC Academic All-District and OWU Top 50 honors, and was named to the 2025-26 NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll. In the community, he volunteers with Team IMPACT, the 2nd & 7 Foundation, Special Olympics, and Common Grounds, and has donated his hair to Children with Hair Loss.
Snipe recorded 37 tackles for the Bears in 2025, adding 2.5 tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries and a fumble recovery. A Political Science major with an Economics minor, he earned CSC Academic All-District honors last season and sings with WashU's Unending Praise a cappella group. Off the field, he serves as a Student Union Senator, Co-President and Community Service Chair of the Association of Black Students, and a member of the Black Men's Coalition, WashU Black Letterwinning Athletics Coalition (WUBLAC), and Phi Delta Phi Pre-Law Fraternity and Honor Society.
Jackson earns the nomination for the second straight year. The Education major volunteers 12 hours a week with the YMCA of Wooster's before- and after-school program, helps with the Cleveland Food Bank's weekly Saturday food drive back home, and has served for three years as a group leader for the St. Augustine Rainbow Camp; this summer he's working as an autism and mental health technician at Lifeworks Autism Services. On the field, Jackson started nine of 10 games in 2025 and led all Wooster defensive linemen with 28 tackles, including a season-high seven against Wabash. He was also named to the 2025-26 NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
The AFCA announced 175 total nominees across all divisions this year. The 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will include 11 FBS players, 11 players from the FCS/DII/DIII/NAIA ranks, and an honorary head coach, with the final 23-member roster unveiled in September.
