MINNEAPOLIS, MN - Wooster juniors
Cam Crago (Mansfield, OH/Lexington) and
Anthony Sines (Orrville, OH/Wooster) were named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, announced Tuesday, September 15.
Crago earned his spot for exceptional play on special teams. He blocked his third punt of the year in the second quarter of Wooster's 26-19 win at Kenyon on Saturday. Later in the quarter, he blocked a field goal try. Crago is also the lone player across all levels of NCAA football – FBS, FCS, Div. II, Div. III – with four blocked kicks this year. He blocked two punts in the season opener against Wilmington.
Sines was one of two Fighting Scots to log three interceptions in Saturday's win. His interception on the final play of the game marked Wooster's sixth of the contest, tying the program's single-game team record set back in 1974. Sines is tied for first in Division III with four interceptions this fall.
This is the 28th season that D3football.com has selected the Team of the Week, which honors the top player nationally at each position from the previous week. This marks the second week that the NCAC has received selections.
